Air & cumulative burden
Check monitor coverage, pollutant, averaging period and the purpose of a screening score. A neighborhood-level indicator is not a personal medical assessment.
Climate & Environment
Environmental conditions, food systems and community resilience.

A question worth asking
An environmental question may involve air, heat, green space, food, energy or the future of a neighborhood. Begin with the place and the people affected, then ask which measurements can illuminate the issue. A map is an entry point for investigation—not a complete account of anyone’s lived exposure.
Check monitor coverage, pollutant, averaging period and the purpose of a screening score. A neighborhood-level indicator is not a personal medical assessment.
Look for community-led stewardship and the institutions making land-use decisions. Ask who can participate in planning and who is responsible for maintaining an improvement.
Read the administering program, the kind of support and the current eligibility rules. An energy target does not by itself establish which households can obtain assistance.
