Follow the system without losing sight of the person.
A justice question may concern a stop, a court process, incarceration, reentry or an alternative to punishment. These are connected experiences, but they are not interchangeable measures. Begin with the stage of the system, then identify the institution with responsibility for the change you are asking for.
Reentry & opportunity
Look for organizations whose actual programs match the need: legal navigation, employment, housing or family connection. A directory profile cannot confirm an opening or accept an intake.
Community-led safety
Describe the practice or investment you want examined. Ask how accountability, community participation and evaluation would work—not only what a program is called.
